Belgium: Shifting gears towards transfer pricing audits

The Belgian tax administration has made additional resources available to increase the number of intercompany transactions audits. And we’ve already noticed that there’s been a significant increase in the number of audits taking place – an estimated 150 audits has been initiated so far. It is not clear yet which types of companies are the main focus of scrutiny meaning that all Belgian companies should assess how well prepared they are for such an audit and to take proactive steps in this regard.
